The theme for this year is of repairing the world and caring for the people around us. The theme aims to remind us that we can all play a part, however big or small, in helping to heal our increasingly damaged world and to reconsider the ways in which we use and misuse it.

At Boxtree Park, 10:00-12:00
Join the Eco Team’s Mitzvah Day Event, where we will be supporting the work of The Friends of Harrow Weald at Boxtree Park. To find out more and to book to join us please click here.

At EHRS, 09:30-12:00
•Bring in your donations of children’s pyjamas and toys (including cleaned soft toys) and children’s story books in aid of Little Village (www.littlevillagehq.org). Items can also be donated in advance  at sessions of Orot, Sing and Sensory and Stay & Play
•Bring in your donations of dried food items, including pet food, in support of our local
foodbank OneStonegrove (www.sct.london/foodbank)
•Bring in your donations of new children’s toothbrushes in support of Comfort Cases (www.comfortcasesuk.org)
•Volunteer to help take in donations, and sort and pack the items

At EHRS, 10:00-12:30
•Join Rabbi Debbie making sweet treats for the wonderful residential care home staff that look after many of our elderly members
•Make Chanukah Cards for our members in care homes
•Join others worldwide in writing a personal letter to an Israeli soldier on the front lines to show them support & encouragement for defending the Jewish people & The State of Israel
•Bring in your premade knitted and crochet keepsakes in support of Simba Charity & 4 Louis, or join our Knit and Knatter /Crochet and Kvetch in the main hall to create items to be sent out in memory boxes. To download the full instructions/ patterns and specifications please click here

Please remember to bring your EHRS membership card with you. Bags may be subject to search on entering the building.
