Edgware & Hendon Reform Synagogue welcome you join our Young Families Community. Our Young Families programme runs events, groups and support for you and your little ones. Get involved to give your little munchkins a taste of our wonderfully welcoming and fun family events, a fantastic opportunity to meet other young Jewish Families. We work closely with our Education Director, Youth Workers, Nagila nursery and of course our Rabbis to make every meeting special for the whole family.

Sing & Sensory
Sing & Sensory
Tuesdays, 11:00-11:45 (term time only)
A music & sensory class for babies – 1 year olds, followed by chill out time in our brand new state of the art Senitt Sensory Room!
Join us each week as we have fun exploring different themes such as; transport, the weather, space, animals, Jewish festivals and more!

Shabbat Stay & Play

Friday Mornings, 10:30 – 11:45
(runs during term time)
Join us for a morning of fun and creativity at our Shabbat Stay & Play, for babies and toddlers. There will be singing, toys, a lovely Kiddush and refreshments. We welcome parents, carers and grandparents. This will run weekly. Booking required. Attending sessions can be counted towards Jewish school application CRP collection.
Donation: Free to EHRS Members, Non Members £5 per child, £1 extra per sibling.

Shabbat Club

Saturday mornings, 11:15
A monthly Shabbat experience for up to 11 year olds to enjoy Parasha and Shabbat themed activities, stories and songs. Under 5 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Finishing in time to join the community for Kiddush around 12:15.

Kuddle Up Shabbat
Kuddle Up Shabbat
Fridays, 16:15-16:45 monthly
Our special interactive Shabbat service for Primary aged children and their siblings. Songs and a joyful start to Shabbat, with a lovely Kiddush. Selection of toys for the children and hot drinks available for the adults. Early arrival is optional from 15.45. Come straight from school pick up, or just arrive early to play before the service. You can collect CRP points from attending.

Our December Kuddle Up is a celebration of Chanukah on the last day of the festival. Bring along your Chanukiah, if you have one, so we can light it for the final time this year, play dreidel games and enjoy a last doughnut for this Chanukah.

Sensory Room hire
If you would like to hire out our fantastic Sensory Room, we are now able to offer sessions for individual families or small groups. Please contact Martine admin@ehrs.uk for more information and to book.
The room includes:
– Fiber Optic Curtain
– Light/bubble tube
– Interactive wall panels
– Sensory play panels
– Interactive button remote and light changing Cube

SEND Parents Support Group
For parents/carers of children with additional support needs and/or disabilities that affect life at home and/or in school. A safe space where you can meet other parents in the community, share experiences, talk about challenges and strategies, and support each other.
This group occurs monthly and is facilitated by Miriam Saffer, a consultant in inclusion and special educational needs with more than 10 years’ experience in education and inclusion across primary, secondary and further education settings.
