Erotic Religious Poetry from Medieval Spain
You’ve never seen Jewish poetry like this before. During Spain’s golden age of Hebrew poetry, rabbis composed liturgy, philosophy & sermons celebrating God. They also published a great deal of erotic poetry, looking at love, sensuality, and longing through a religious lens. Join us to explore some of the great works from this period, and challenge your own limits about what loving God can really mean. With Student Rabbi Lev Taylor.
