We are so used to the prayers we say in synagogue that we may never think of their background and history. Many of the prayers we say on Shabbat are of very great age – some even come from the Bible itself. Archaeologists and historians can illustrate some of these prayers; so come and learn with Rabbi Roberta about treasures from our ancient past that will throw light on our services.
