Live Performance of ‘The Stove’
created by lifelong EHRS member Emma Brand
Sunday 6 November, 19:00-20:30

Part participatory performance, part communal meal, The Stove invites you to forge connections through storytelling.
The Stove is a virtual meeting place, a fireside, kitchen table, cooking pot composite – a place to share stories over dinner and create new worlds with people you haven’t yet got to know.

The Stove was originally created online in March 2020 as an antidote to isolation, and has since become an in-person storytelling experience, complete with a shared meal. The in-person Stove, developed for Tsitsit Festival, explores the inherited tales we bring to the table. It is a journey to the ‘old country’ and back again through the eyes of a Jewish child refugee.

About the creator of The Stove – Emma Brand is a theatre-maker and performer, and life-long member of EHRS. Having studied Performance Making at Goldsmiths University, she has taken shows to VAULT Festival, Brighton Fringe and the Edinburgh Fringe. (‘Brand creates a magical world of comfort for all to share’, ****A Younger Theatre).

There are 20 tickets available, £20 per person including dinner.
