Kosova: Then and Now
How the 1999 war continues to impact upon the region. We will discuss the war & conflict in Kosovo and its repercussions and ethnic tensions today.

Saranda Bogujevci: Teenage survivor of the 1999 Podujeva Massacre. Alongside her three cousins Saranda became the first child to testify at a war crimes tribunal. Winner of the Anne Frank Moral Courage Award, Saranda is a leading women’s rights activist and politician in the Balkans. She is now a member of Kosova’s ruling Vetëvendosje Party and Vice President of the Kosovan Assembly

The Revd Bruce Thompson: Bruce was instrumental in setting up a Kosovan Refugee Centre in Manchester that welcomed the surviving members of the Bogujevci family to the UK in 1999. Bruce is a blogger, broadcaster and author of a number of books, the latest being Echoes of Contempt: a history of Judeophobia in the Christian Church.
