First Shabbat Shiur
Saturday 4 February, 9:15-10:15
In Person and on Zoom

We will study the Sugia about Rabbi Alisha ben Abayah or as he is referred to by his colleagues as the Talmud “Acher”.

We will learn how the Rabbis wrestled with the idea of how one can be a learned person (a Jewish scholar) on the one hand and an evil person on the other.

Is this perhaps an impossible dichotomy according to the Rabbis? What do moral choices depend on? What is a moral society?
