Bark Mitzvah Service
Yes for the fourth glorious year running we really mean it – on the week when we enter the month of Elul, traditionally the Jewish New Year for Animals, Cantor Tamara invites you to bring your pet to the Synagogue for us to celebrate the place of animals in our lives. You’ll be surprised at how much the dogs get involved in the service!
Today we thank them with special prayers and blessings and the Torah portion of Re’eh read from the point of view of the animals.
You are of course welcome to come if you don’t have a pet or if yours is not transportable – just bring a photo.
Wet weather plan or if the building works don’t give us space – bring an umbrella or retreat to the EHRS Community Centre!
