Saturday 4 June, 20:30-00:15

Our Tikkun Ley’l Shavuot this year is all about what inspires us in Judaism. EHRS is joining together with Kol Chai Reform Synagogue in Hatch End for this online evening.
Shavuot celebrates the giving of Torah, our revelatory guide to everything! On this evening we invite you to share with our Rabbis what inspires you in Judaism. We will be interviewing Jewish educators and people from all walks of life so that we can build a picture of how Torah is effective today. If you would like to share what makes you Jewishly tick then please let rabbi.mark@ehrs.uk know so that we can share it. You can join us for all four sessions or just one or two, depending on your choice of bedtime! All of our sessions are on the Zoom link shown in Our Week Ahead or please contact admin@ehrs.uk for Zoom details.
These are all your session choices for the night:

20:30-21:15
1) Talking about my revelation 1 – Four Jews speak, including Rabbi Alex Dukhovny, Chief Reform Rabbi of Ukraine,  about the moment or experience of revelation that made their Judaism grow – what can we learn from their Torah? Hosted by Rabbi Mark.
2) Revealing Refugees: how local communities are responding locally to the global refugee crisis. Citizens UK & Peter Lewy (Kol Chai & Harrow Citizens).
3) Shavuot Cook-a-Long: Make a white chocolate cheesecake and feta and spinach borekas Janet Lipton (Kol Chai & Binkys Bites). Ingredient list available from admin@kolchai.org or please click on the dishes name – though you are also welcome to watch and learn!

Break to get a coffee and piece of cheesecake to keep you going!

Revelation in Jewish poetry and text: How we know what we know as Jews is a topic that Jewish poets and writers have considered time and again; from their word pictures of revelation we can build our own. Rabbis Mark and Debbie.
