Opera Appreciation
This group will meet at EHRS in the early evenings to see classical opera on DVD which will be introduced and then discussed by the group. To start we will see two great operas which have lasted hundreds of years and try to understand why they are so great.
We will hold two taster sessions:
Monday 13 March, 19:30 – ‘La Traviata’ (a tragic story)
Thursday 30 March, 19:30 – ‘La Fille du Regiment’ (a comedy)
From these taster sessions we will then plan how often this group will run and what type of Operas will be shown in the future.
All EHRS members welcome. Refreshments will be available during an interval.
